The Pacific House Farm in El Dorado County, California, lost their farm to the King Fire in 2014. Pacific House is a small family owned working farm.
Unfortunately, government funds and other contributions made to those affected by the fire did not go far enough. Pacific House spent most of their own money to rebuild from this devastation.
To help pay for things like food supplies for the animals, I recently set-up "For A Good Cause" fundraiser. Photographs can be purchased; 100% of proceeds from the sale will benefit the Pacific House Farm. Additional contributions are appreciated.
My ties to Pacific House Farms began when I met this lovely couple at an El Dorado Supper Club dinner. When I heard their story about losing their farm to fire and having to start over, it touched my heart. Being we are both animal lovers, I wanted to do something to help out, even if it only helped to fund food for their animals.
The couple are on their way to getting back to normal farm life, but both have full-time jobs in addition to maintaining the farm. Maintaining the farm is a full time job in itself, so they have their work cut out for them. They have sheep, goats, hogs, turkeys and chickens. Many of these photos were taken from the farm; also included are other country photos for your enjoyment.
